From chicken farm to boutique winery
Making wine had always been a passion and a hobby. Turning it from a hobby into a lifelong career…. We never dreamed that would happen.

The Reynolds Family story is one of passion and hard work. The winery did not simply “fall” into Suzie and Steve’s hands, they crafted every bit of it.
1994
Steve Reynolds sells his dental practice in Stockton CA. Suzie and Steve decide to look at property in Napa
1995
Steve and Suzie Reynolds purchased a rundown chicken farm with a boarded up house and a few goats
1996
Steve opens a dental practice in Napa, no plans of becoming a full time wine maker…rather just make wine on the side. He planted the whole property with cabernet sauvignon with hopes to make a few cases and sell some fruit on the side
1998
Their first child, Cameron, is born. Steve sells his Napa dental practice and decides to go all in on this “wine thing.” They source their first few tons of fruit from the Stags Leap District just down the road. Construction also began on the winery
1999
The Reynolds Family Winery releases their first vintage and continues construction on the crush pad and tasting room for a hopeful first release and grand opening..there was no looking back now
2000
The Reynolds family grows to four…. their second child, Rebecca, is born. Steve begins to make more wines and promote the brand in a few other states
2001
The first blended wine is released, “Persistence.” Reynolds really begins to gain recognition in the Napa Valley as a small boutique producer
2003
The Reynolds Family grows to five, their third child, Sarah, is born. Steve and Suzie now had three children who would be tasked with helping around the winery and handmaking mustard flower labels
2011
The Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon is named #10 wine of the world in Wine Enthusiast amongst a few other accolades. Brand begins to receive international recognition.
2015
The Reynolds Brand has grown to produce almost 8,000 cases. Reynolds wines are now distributed across the country in twenty states. Steve is now making several different cabernets, red blends, and several different white wines. He has also taken on a few custom crush clients and acquired a 20 acre vineyard in Coombsville which will be known as there “Persistence Vineyard”
2020
Cameron Reynolds graduates from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Wine and Viticulture degree to begin his career as the National Sales Manager for the Reynolds Family

Rebecca Reynolds graduates from UC Davis in Fall and Sarah Reynolds is off to college!
2023
Reynolds Family gets a new ‘splash of paint!’
2024
Reynolds Family celebrates its 25th vintage!
